Many Paths in Life

Everything happens for a reason.  A positive person will not dwell on things that she cannot control, but rather on things that she can.

Change is good.  Change is progressive.  Change is needed.  Change forces you to realize who you are, who you want to be, where you want to go, and what you want out of life.  There is a moment in time when you no longer want to stay stagnant, but to explore and to start a new adventure.

There are many paths in life, which will you take?

Path in Life
Will you walk into the darkness or out into the light?

Bridge in Darkness
Will you face challenges head on or go with the flow?

Do you have the desire to travel?

#Cee’s Which Way Photo Challenge

Cee’s Which Way Challenge

I love paths, bridges and interesting perspectives and often find myself looking for the entrance to these places that I often drive by.  Here are some photos from my “Bridge Adventure” from April 5th.

Imagine the Light (Entire Book Revealed)

To complete my BA in photography back in 2008, I was required to make a book of my images along with an artist statement.  It took me a while to figure out which images I wanted to focus on, but after reviewing my previous work, I decided that what I deemed to be my “poetic photography” pieces were the strongest ones.  When I combined my love for poetry and photography, I was able to convey meaning and emotion into my pieces.  Below is the digital version of my little book.  I will start off with the first few pages and edit this post each week to include a few more pages.  The complete book will be revealed by mid April.

Two Hours in Nature @ Coyote Lake Park

Do you ever feel like you need to take a mental break and just go somewhere nice for a day all by your lonesome self?  I get this feeling every once in a while.  Friday was one of those days and I decided to spend it at Coyote Lake Park in Gilroy.

Breathing in the fresh air
of the pristine lake,
watching the water glisten
in the sun
as birds soar high
in the sky
and I sit back
and think
what a wonderful day
lounging around
and reading my book
in the midst of nature.
