Sunset on the beach,
waves thrashing against the shore,
summer silhouette.

Haiku #7

Lying lazily
alligator is content
in the muddy swamps

Turbulent water
tumbling down the pedestal
inspiring awe.

Running through fountains
in the middle of the night –
to be young again

The warmth of buildings
reflected in the blue lake
with floating leaves.

Lights dance on water.
We stroll on the Riverwalk,
a lovely spring night.

Empty gazebo
illuminated by light
welcoming lovers.

Glamorous driveway,
fancy car, little black dress,
material dreams

I am starting a new series of haiku poems based on photographs that I have taken on recent trips. I hope you enjoy this journey with me =)

Lyrical, pristine,
water falls in the fountain
endlessly through life.

A ripple of clouds
bathed in sunlight, reflected
in Mother’s deep eyes.
