She brightens his darkness
and softens his edges,
yin and yang of love.

Breathing in the fresh mountain air,
I absorb the landscape before me.
Standing tall beneath the wispy clouds,
the mountain embraces the river.
Sandy brown, granite gray,
with streams of white pebbles
flowing down the slopes.
Flowing to
a richer part of the mountain
covered with yellow-green grass,
surrounded by auburn trees,
next to the white pebble beach
by the blue-green water.
The sun shines throughout.
Standing on Kappa Bridge,
I look dull in comparison,
for I am only one color,
the color of my skin.
However, when standing next
to my brothers and sisters
from all over the world,
we are also part of nature’s beauty,
varying colors standing together,
living in harmony.

Unattended plate –
tasty fruits, bread, scrambled eggs,
a feast for the birds.

I apologize for not posting in a while, as I have been busy working on wedding planning stuff. As the big day gets closer and closer, many of my poems may reflect wedding-related topics. I hope you enjoy them 🙂

Loyal, truthful teal,
magical, elegant gold –

Lace, blue silk, sparkle,
beautiful floral in hair,

Haiku #31
Nice day, birds chirping,
food in hand, visited by
fans, squirrel stardom
Haiku #28
Like little soldiers,
they stand guard, watching, waiting
atop Duck’s Island.
Haiku #27
Man-made connection
bridging beauty of two lands…
a walk of wonder.
Haiku #24
She visits daily,
watching waves caress the shore,
a lovely goodbye.
Haiku #20
Yellow leaves sprinkled
on the grass, being caressed
by golden sunlight.
