Chicken and Drooling

I was a little behind on Day 5 of Inktober, so I had decided to combine the themes from Day 5 and 6 into a single drawing.  The themes were “chicken” and “drooling.”  I hope you enjoy the poem that I wrote to accompany it.

Stomach growls with hunger
Staring at the roasted chicken
Glistening in the store,
He salivates on the window.

Poisonous

I apologize as it has been a long time since I posted any poetry here. To add a little inspiration for myself, I decided to write short poems based on drawings I did last month for Inktober. It is turning out to be quite fun, so I hope you enjoy them   The first poem is based off of the word “poisonous”

Her body sprawled on the jungle floor.
Her legs turned black and blue.
The snake… slithered away.

Here is another poem I wrote for “poisonous”

Carpet soaked with red wine,
she lay motionless on the floor,
broken glass scattered by her side.
